The flagship launch of iOS6, the operating system for Apple devices such as the iPhone and iPad, certainly didn’t go smoothly – especially considering the hoohah surrounding the Maps app. However, it looks like the new update to the user interface – 6.1 – could hold the key to new features that will be announced by the company soon.
Experts have found new lines of code that suggest a new radio functionality could be on the way soon. It would be similar to the platform offered by Pandora, and could give iOS users greater control over their music library. It could also provide greater flexibility as to how and when consumers make their purchases.
There has also been talk of a refresh to the user interface, which might see the iPad’s on-screen design stray away from the traditional appearance it has now. If you’re excited about all of the features and want to learn more, cool your heels – more info isn’t expected until October.
