The little sister of the iPad, the iPad mini has been long rumored and long expected. Thankfully, the hopeful predictions of tech pundits have been satisfied in the main, but the price of the tablet does mean that there are other miniature tablets that may clinch the attention of customers.
If you are dedicated to Apple, however, you’ll benefit from the generous levels of battery life, the portable nature of the device, and the intuitive design that we’ve come to expect from this monstrously large company. It sits very nicely in the palm of your hand, and is a perfect companion for taking with you on the move. Also, although the icons in iOS are smaller than with the larger iPad – not good for those of us with big fingers – the operating system works remarkably well.
A top tip would be to make sure that you go for a 32GB model, mainly owing to the fact that HD video and apps will eat up a lot of storage space and give you less freedom. With no hotswappable memory card option, you need to consider what you’re going to need from your iPad mini before you go ahead and buy.
