How to unlock your Android tablet

Android tablets are great for security, and offer a unique pattern lock that prevents the chance of someone guessing your password. If you mistakenly forget this, not to worry – as you will be able to bypass this and regain access to your Android tablet after five attempts.

There are downsides to this. Firstly, this feature does mean that anybody an access your device should it become lost or stolen. Second, it is probable that you will lose media saved on your device in the meantime, so do back up regularly.

Here are your options:

You can then log into your Google account and enter your details. If you were already signed in, this can keep everything secure.

Depending on your device, you may be asked to answer a security question.
If you had a password, apps such as Screen Lock Bypass Pro can help you to regain access.

Finally, you may wish to enter recovery mode. The buttons you’ll need to use to access this may depend on your device, so check the instruction manual.
